Diamond Divas

Kayleigh was really happy to start baseball season! This year, she is playing for a new team: Diamond Divas. Kayleigh is playing for the same coach she had for basketball: Glenn Allbrighton.

Kayleigh & the Diamond Divas are off to a good start! They won both of their scrimmage games! Yeah!! They lost their 1st game to Petrolia Crush.

They really made a come back on their 2nd game!! They played Technique & won 16 to 0!! Kayleigh has continued playing as the pitcher! She got 2 players out with strikes! Way to go!! Kayleigh scored a 3rd out by tagging the runner from home to 1st base!

Here are a few pics of Kayleigh in action:

The Muterspaugh Family

This past weekend we had a surprise visit from Aunt Dee & Aunt Jann! My Dad comes from a large family & most of them live out of state. Aunt Jann lives in California, so we don't get to see her that often. Aunt Dee lives closer, in the Dallas are so we are able to see her more. When we do get to see them it is always special!

Here is a pic of the Muterspaugh Family!

Another Sara Stone!?!?!?

All I can say, is that these children (Sara & Matthew) captured our hearts in only 3 short days!! Are you wondering who they are & where did they come from!?!

Here is the story:

My best friend & her husband celebrated their 11th anniversary last week. They were going out of town for several days & asked if Casey & I could keep 2 of their children! Considering that we already have 3 of our own we were a little reluctant.

Knowing their trip was well deserved, I told her we would keep them. So for 3 days last week we had 4 year old Sara & 14 month old Matthew!

We were excited to have a son for 3 days! :) Matthew is the sweetest little boy! He never even shed a tear. He only fussed 1 time, & that was because he was sleepy.

He loved to rock, which is 1 of my favorite things to do! He just put his little arms around me & snuggled! It just melted my heart!!

Matthew loved Emily, our middle daughter! He would grin at her & then screech real loud! Emily loved Matthew because he had blue eyes like hers.

Sara fit right in with our 3 girls. Again, my heart just melted!! It was time to eat & as always, we said the prayer. I asked Sara if there was a prayer that they say at home. She said yes, I can say a prayer too.

Here was Sara's prayer:

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for Mommies & Daddies,
Thank you for Daughters & Brothers,
Thank you for Outside,
Thank you for the Food,
I Love You Jesus!
Amen
Our oldest daughter Kayleigh, couldn't believe Sara had made that up all on her own! By the time she was finished, I had tears in my eyes!
Our family enjoyed having Matthew & Sara as guests! I told my friend that anytime they go on a trip, we would be glad to keep their kids!!

HERO Baseball

This school year has really been a lot of fun, because our cousin Dylan is a SENIOR!! It wasn't so long ago we were watching Dylan play football! Now, we are going to Dylan's baseball games! The girls LOVE Dylan!!

I think it is neat that Dylan is a senior & Emily is in kindergarten! The beginning & the end!! It was the same way when Dylan's older sister Kylee was in school. Kylee was a senior & Kayleigh was in kindergarten!! WOW!! How time flies!!

Not only does Emily Love to watch Dylan, she LOVES spending time with her friend Regan! Emily & Regan started out in daycare together at 6 weeks of age. They are currently in the same kindergarten class!

Good News

Kayleigh has had a few struggles this school year. She is working very hard, and like they old saying reads, "The proof is in the pudding!!" We got a really nice note in the mail from Kayleigh's math teacher. This is what it said:

Just a note to let you know how much I have enjoyed
having Kayleigh in math class this year.
I know math can be difficult but
she never complains and gives it her best shot.
I just love her great attitude.
She is going to be successful!

Kayleigh, we are so proud of you!!

Weight Loss Update!!!

Some of you know that I have been on a Weight Loss Journey since May 27th (My Dad's Birthday) 2009. Like I have said in the past, I knew I had packed on the pounds after having the girls.

I attended two weddings last May. After seeing pictures of myself at those weddings, I thought: "That's It!!' "I look horrible!!" "You are out of control!" On my Dad's birthday, I decided that I was going to change! *Key Word: "I"!!! You can't change anything until you admit there is a problem!

That began my Weight Loss Journey! In June I began walking with my Mom & the girls every day. From July to November I rode my stationary bike & worked on maintaining the 20lbs. I lost.

After Thanksgiving I participated in Holiday Trimmings at the YMCA. It was a 6 week membership for $6! My sister-in -law Jennifer & my friend Ginger participated with me! That is when I discovered a new love!!! ZUMBA!!!!! I lost another 6lbs!

When that ended I was looking for the next challenge. That leads me to my current undertaking! I signed up to participate in the Ladies Biggest Loser Challenge here in Wichita Falls.

I joined Gold's Gym & I go 5 days a week! On M,W,F I attend PiYo. PiYo is a mix of Pilate's & Yoga, I really enjoy & look forward to it! The instructor Jenna, is also a personal trainer! On T & Th. I attend ZUMBA!! I love it!! The instructors are so wonderful! Melissa & Autumn are loads of fun! Zumba is a great cardio workout using a mixture of music & choreographed dance steps.

The Ladies Biggest Loser Challenge ends on April 26th! I have enjoyed getting to know the ladies & we have had some wonderful speakers along the way. We meet every Tuesday evening to weigh in & get a little more educated on health/fitness/etc.

Since I started, I have lost another 15lbs! When I weighed in on March 23rd, I was so excited!! I had reached my personal goal of 40lbs by May 27, 2010!

As of today I have lost a total of 41lbs!! I still have a few weeks to go & on Wednesday, April 28th the ladies in my group & I will be recognized at the 2010 Conference for Women here in Wichita Falls! I am a little nervous about standing in front of 500 people! We will also get to meet the keynote speaker who is a former winner on the TV show Biggest Loser!

Now, at this time I would like to thank everyone who has been supportive of me & my efforts to lose weight!! I am so excited about my accomplishments! I can no longer look back in disappointment, but look forward to my next big challenge! Let the Weight Loss Journey continue!!

Early Easter Celebration

Emily & Nathalie both had Easter parties at school & daycare. They had so much fun! I am so thankful to be able to attend all these events! I didn't realize all the things I missed out on when I worked full-time.

Emily's party was wonderful! Emily was so excited because earlier in the day they got to ride the bus & participate in Jump Rope for Heart. Then for the party, they had a visit from the Easter bunny, hunted eggs & busted a pinata. I didn't get as many pictures at Nattie's party, because the kids go so fast! I can't wait to celebrate with our family!! I always love seeing the girls in their new dresses!
