Heritage Fall Carnival

My M & M Group (Moms & Munchkins)hosted a Fall Carnival. It was a lot of fun! The little girls got to play all the games & Kayleigh earned volunteer time for Jr. Honor Society by working the games. We also had some fun sncaks! Our favorite was the Caramel Apple Nachos!! Thinly slice apples covered with caramel, mini chocolate chips & crushed peanuts!! YUM YUM!!

I Love You BERRY Much

A few weeks ago, the M&M (Moms & Munchkins) Group went to Young's Orchard in Charlie to pick strawberries. We had such a good time!

Nattie was a sweet girl & we really enjoyed ourselves along with our friends! When we all finished picking, we enjoyed a picnic.

Our strawberries didn't last long! Once the big girls got home from school they ate them all! I don't even know if Casey got one!?!

* Notice that Nattie's hair is much shorter!?!
* She gave herself a haircut! We were very upset!
* The hairdresser really fixed her up pretty cute!

Dare to Be

I enjoy my monthly M&Ms (Mom & Munchkins) group. I have met so many wonderful women within this group.

At our meeting last night, we enjoyed Mexican food & had a speaker that talked with us about crafts for kids. We even demolished a pinata. It was great seeing a bunch of grown women beat the heck out of it!

I was so excited to win one of the door prizes (really cute hand made cards)! We always get a really good newsletter with recipes & craft ideas. This time it also included a poem! I love poetry & this poem I thought was wonderful!

Dare to Be
By Steve Maraboli

When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
when something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you're feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you've done your best.
Dare to be the best you can -
At all times, Dare to be!

Munchkins & Lunchkins

On the 2nd Tuesday of the month, the girls & I meet with a group of moms & kids at my friend Ginger's Church.
The group is called M & Ms (Moms & Munchkins).
Some of the women are members of the church, some are military from SAFB & some like me are just friends with someone who started the group.

They have nursery workers that do fun activities with the kids & we take turns bringing food to share for the kids.
The moms bring food (usually some theme) & have different topics we discuss.
Sometimes there are guest speakers, but mostly we just visit & have a good time!

So to get to the point of this:

We also meet for play dates! It is a lot of fun!
Since Kayleigh & Emily are both in school, Nathalie & I have some 1 on 1 time!

This time we met at Lucy Park & had a picnic.
Then we all walked to feed the ducks!
The kids all play well together & the moms have a good time visiting!
